The sound installation of the Migration Sounds project presented in the Pitt Rivers Museum, Oxford.

In this installation, on one side of the space listeners could hear the original field recordings, while on the opposite side they could hear the corresponding composition based on that recording.

Listeners created their own sound mix by moving around the space – their experience and perspective changed depending on their physical location.

The recordings and compositions are time-synced, and change to a new location every 60-90 seconds. The installation loops every 53 minutes. The sounds take us on a journey from west to east around the world, from the west coast of the USA to New Zealand.
