This is a release that requires full listening dedication, as the author demonstrates that both his knowledge in this field and his inspiration for creative concepts stem from a rich personal archival “heritage” as well as artistic exploration.

Behind the name Pureh, there is Simon Šerc, an artist active on the electronic scene since 1993. He is also a video artist, recording engineer, producer and creator of projects such as Cadlag and Biodukt, as well as the main person of the record company “Pharmafabrik Recordings”.

The activities of this artist are constant, as is his presence on the aforementioned electronic scene, and the current release called “Tetragram”, which contains 7 tracks, appears in addition to the digital version as a CD. Simon produced and created everything, while Willy Žigon was on the drums. Mastering was in charge of Simon, Alexandr Vatagin.

“Tetragram” examines and explores different forms of perception, nature, psychological states, time travel, and the author himself prefers to describe his expression as ambientcore. Even in the case of such a set electronic form, modern genre influences can be heard, as well as a sound approach that had its roots in the 80s of the last century. The music itself, the soundscapes set up, provoke different reactions, it is not one-way at any moment, but with its multi-layeredness it makes you constantly ready to hear some new sounds and new ideas. Both in a conceptual sense, and drawn through various arrangement traces, “Tetragram” offers different solutions, but also raises several questions, which through a kind of author’s musical journey, pass through a labyrinth of sound challenges.
This is a release that should be given maximum attention in terms of listening, and the author shows that his knowledge in this field, as well as the inspiration for the ideas, come from the sphere of a rich personal archival “heritage”, as well as artistic research.
